Prayer

". . . and His ears are attentive to their prayer."

1 Peter 3:12

Prayer

Preparation . . .

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God . . .
(Romans 3:23)

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
(1 John 1:8-9)

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence . . .
(Hebrews 4:16)

Please pray for . . .

The Rector, Verger and Churchwardens

The life and work of the church

The work of the new Mission Action Plan project within St Mary’s and the growth of the children’s work

Many more from our village and surrounding area to be added to our congregation

Sufficient funds for the upkeep of our beautiful church building in Newick

The Men’s and Ladies’ Suppers

Those involved in palliative care throughout Sussex, and the work of St Peter and St James’ Hospice

The role of the Newick Distress Trust which helps those in financial difficulties. For all families who are struggling because of the recession

Continued support for the Servicemen and women and their families, especially the ones who are recovering from injury
