An organisation formed to raise funds for the care and renovation of the fabric of the building. You do not need to be a ‘church-goer’ to join the Friends, but just value the beauty, history and heritage we are so fortunate to have in our parish church.
Over the past year, the Friends have donated £15,650 towards the church tower appeal and for the provision of a new lightning conductor. As a result our funds are rather depleted despite the need to continue helping to maintain and improve our lovely church.
Past and new members of the Friends are now invited to subscribe for 2011 and we can give an assurance that all money raised will be spent on the fabric of the church.
There is evidence that there has been a church building here since 1086. Do please consider playing a part in maintaining this wonderful building that still fulfils such a large role in Newick village life, and in our personal lives through baptisms, weddings and funerals.
